Aarhus - February 2017

And so I arrived in Denmark on 1st february. The next 5 months I was about to spend in the city of Horsens located by the western coast of Jutland by the Baltic sea. I went there with a friend from my home university and considering that we started classes at february 6th we had a few days to accomodate to the city and to do a bit of travelling. The following day the first thing in the morning we hopped on a train and rode to Aarhus. It is second biggest city in Denmark that is just about 30km away from Horsens.

We were warned about this we had to deal with really gloomy weather. Rainy, windy and cold. Even though it is not quite visible on the photographs but Aarhus was really pretty. It was one of the first enconters with Danish architecture as we strolled around its narrow streets, gasping at colourful cute little houses with bicycles parked by their doors.
This was all, for this trip to Aarhus. Enjoy!

For the sightseeing we did The Old Town museum which was a reconstruction of typical Danish streets at different time periods from XVIth century up to present day. We have also seen AROS musem of Modern Art which actually is most famous for its Rainbow Panorama - a circular terrace with rainbow colourful windows. The panorama was my absolute favourite part of the museum, I loved it. We walked around DOKK1 centre, however it was under some construction works, so we couldn't really see the building.
