Bristol - September 2017

After I left Bath, I headed to Bristol. I didn't know what to expect, really, but I'm glad I went there. It's one of the largest English cities, with a cool, fresh vibe. Colourful houses, street art, underground shops... it all was an indicator of a large, creative community.
It has a big university that's much less posh than Oxford or Cambridge, so that might be the reason.

It does have old, quality architecture, like a castle (or rather castle ruins) and a very decent cathedral.

A very cool thing - on Brandon hill there is an astounding viewpoint - Cabot Tower. It's a decent walk up, but the view is worth it. And the entry is for free, nobody is even guiding the doors!

If you need a postcard-view from Bristol, the Clifton suspension bridge is the one to go with. Just how impressive it is, over 150 years old hanging between two hills over 75 meters above the river.

The dockland's vibe also gives a unique feel to the city.
